This notice describes the current MarkdownMem preview, including its test-mode billing.

What the service stores

MarkdownMem processes your account identifier, verified email, optional display name, workspace memberships, permissions, note paths, encrypted note content, and retained versions. Operational events record changes needed to operate and protect the service.

Why it is processed

This information lets you sign in, find your workspaces, share selected stores, read and edit memory, and manage your account. A connected client can read or change content only within its authorized access.

Service providers

Clerk handles authentication, Railway hosts the application and database, Cloudflare provides domain and DNS services, and Stripe handles test-mode billing. The application does not receive your full card details through hosted Stripe Checkout.

Your content

Notes are stored for the service you request. MarkdownMem does not run an advertising business or use your notes to train a model. An AI client you connect has its own data handling policy; its use of retrieved content is outside this service's control.

Control and retention

You can edit notes, inspect retained versions, and download Markdown. Current plans keep a bounded number of versions. Use Account in the memory desk to review and delete your account. This removes owned workspaces and their notes for all members, your access to other teams, your sign-in identity, and your subscription. Notes you contributed to surviving teams and their audit history remain with those teams. Payment records and a minimal deletion receipt may be retained. Provider cleanup can require a retry; the screen explains when it is incomplete. Existing backups and recovery records have separate retention. The backup policy and support contact process are being finalized before general availability.

Cookies and local storage

Authentication uses browser storage and cookies to maintain the session. The product uses the selected workspace and store to restore navigation. Signing out ends the native Clerk browser session.
